City of Las Vegas’ Public-Private Partnership with Elite Media, Inc. Now Live
Las Vegas, NV— Today, in this first-of-its-kind venture in Nevada, a brand new network of Parquee® outdoor digital signs have completed construction on centrally-located city property with extensive freeway and street visibility. In the pilot phase of this unique collaboration, four 14’x48’digital signs have been positioned along US95/I-515, a major Las Vegas freeway. The other five 7’9”x18’2” digital signs are located in the heart of Las Vegas along high-traffic surface streets.
“The city of Las Vegas has had to be creative in finding ways to fund essential city services during the recent economic challenges,” said Mayor Carolyn Goodman. “The Elite Media Parquee® partnership project is a perfect fit. The signs take up a very small footprint, the equivalent of a couple of parking spaces, and they will generate funding with no up-front costs to the city.”
In addition, the city will be given prominent advertising space on the Parquee® signs to promote city events and programs. During the testing phase, the city was able to promote the Helldorado Days rodeo and parade and the Summer Fun program for kids.
Inspired by the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign, the unique Parquee® design reflects Las Vegas’ historic neon past combined with contemporary technology that provides the highest image clarity and energy efficiency.
“When we designed the signs, we wanted to do something that was both artistic and distinctively Vegas,” said Chad McCullough, owner and president of Elite Media, Inc. “The classic look of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign was a natural choice because it is recognized worldwide and companies want to be associated with the Las Vegas brand.”
The partnership between Las Vegas and Elite Media, Inc. was the result of a competitive RFP process, and the signs were built and installed by YESCO, the longest operating sign contractor in Las Vegas, internationally recognized for its unique, innovative and colorful designs throughout Downtown and the Las Vegas Strip.
“From the very start, we wanted to create a product that is versatile, attractive and durable and that would provide a unique and distinctive advertising opportunity for downtown Las Vegas,” said McCullough. “We couldn’t be more proud to be the city’s partner in this venture.”
